What is Holistic Health Coaching?

Holistic Health Coaching with Susan Pullen at True Radiance Healing Arts in Edmonds

Holistic Health Coaching is a professional partnership that can empower you to improve your quality of life, health, and well-being. The Holistic Health Coaching process recognizes that there is a natural movement toward healing within each of us and that this healing capacity can be either amplified or slowed, depending on several factors.

As Holistic Health Coaches, our approach is two-fold: To identify ways to strengthen your innate healing ability as well as to reveal and resolve the hidden dynamics that may be sabotaging your health and well-being.

A holistic approach means that we take into account the big picture of your life and experience which can lead to insights, a better understanding of the role of the symptoms in your life, and fresh ways to improve your health. This may include looking at emotional, ancestral, energetic, or spiritual influences that are not taken into consideration by traditional healthcare practitioners. In this way, Holistic Health Coaching can be a powerful complement to the care you are already receiving.

Holistic Health Coaching can be particularly helpful in finding relief and support with chronic challenges such as:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • chronic migraines and other headaches
  • Lyme disease
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • endometriosis and unusually painful menstrual cycles
  • chronic pain
  • auto-immune disease, including Addison’s disease, Epstein-Barr, Fibromyalgia, Graves’ disease, Hashimoto’s disease, and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) like Crohn’s

Why work with a Holistic Health Coach?

The underlying contributors to our health and well-being often go unaddressed by traditional healthcare approaches. At the same time, it can be hard to stick with even the things we know would help us to feel better. A Holistic Health Coach can help you get your life back by discovering hidden dynamics that may be getting in the way of your healing process and freeing you from them.

Our Approach

Holistic Health Coaching with Susan Pullen at True Radiance Healing Arts in Edmonds

Susan’s own experience with a health challenge included a Chronic Daily Migraine—a migraine that lasted almost five years and then improved to 21 days a month for another ten years. During that time, she had periods of feeling lost, frustrated, and hopeless. She longed to be in a position to make a meaningful contribution to the world and instead felt as though she was just a burden on it.

In her search to improve her health, she went to numerous practitioners and tried a variety of medications and other treatments, but nothing seemed to address the root problem. It took her years of learning and experimenting, much of it on my own, to find what worked for her. Now that my life has changed, she is passionate about helping others find what makes a real difference for them, too.

When our good efforts to improve our well-being don’t create the changes we want, looking more closely at hidden factors can be a powerful tool. This is part of our holistic approach in working with clients: taking mental, emotional, energetic, spiritual, and systemic factors into consideration.
